High dose of vitamin C may cause vitamin C toxicity but it also provides certain benefits because of which the issues of vitamin C toxicity can be tolerated. In general, a person can easily tolerate 2000 mg of vitamin C daily. The adequate amount of vitamin C required by a healthy person is just 90 mg of vitamin C for male, and 75 mg of vitamin C for female. Thus, 2000 mg of vitamin C is very high dose of vitamin C.
