Vitamin D is essentially important constituent of nutritious food and the quantity of vitamin D is found to be rich in some fishes such as tuna, salmon and sardines. However, if your food intake doesn’t offer enough vitamin D, you may take food supplements too. One reason of vitamin D deficiency and weight gain is that women often try to avoid direct sunlight as direct sunlight may cause skin problems such as tanning of skin, skin rashes, itching, redness and similar other problems.
Since women often avoid direct sunlight, they fail to produce any significant amount of vitamin D directly in their body and hence, women remain totally dependent on their food intake. During the pregnancy, women often requires higher amount of vitamin D so that proper amount of this important nutritious entity may also reach to their unborn child and after giving birth, during the breast feeding course, they need to take furthermore quantity of vitamin D to ascertain good health and strong bones of the child.
